Marmot sleeping bags

Marmot has been making sleeping bags for about 35 years. They were one of the first manufactures to use Gore Tex in sleeping bags, allowing their sleeping bags to have colder temperature ratings. Marmot is always improving the insulation in the sleeping bags allowing for warmer sleeping conditions.

Marmot started out as a school project by three college students in Alaska. The first few products that Marmot produced were products with down in them. Three of the original products were sleeping bags. Since then, Marmot has expanded to a large corporation that manufactures all types of outdoor gear including some of the best sleeping bags available to campers.

Marmot makes five styles of sleeping bags. Those styles are: Ultralight, Backpacking, Mountaineering, Outdoor, and Synthetic. The Synthetic sleeping bags are available in a standard bag or Ultralight bag.

The Marmot Ultralight sleeping bags are available in ratings from 15 degrees to 40 degrees. The Ultralight sleeping bags feature 850 Goose Down insulation, trapezoidal foot beds, full length zippers, and an insulated draft tube. The trapezoidal foot beds allow for the most foot room possible. The Marmot Ultralight sleeping bags were awarded the 2008 editors choice award for sleeping bags.

The Marmot Backpacking sleeping bags are available in ratings from 15 degrees to 40 degrees. The Backpacking sleeping bags feature 800 Goose Down insulation, trapezoidal foot beds, hood muff, and a Down oversized draft tube. The Hood muff creates a warm Down gasket around your face keeping your face warm and away from the draw cords. The Marmot Backpacking sleeping bags are lightweight and perfect for Backpackers.

The Marmot Mountaineering sleeping bags are available in two ratings, -20 degrees or -40 degrees. The Mountaineering sleeping bags feature 800 Goose Down insulation, baffle construction, reinforced foot beds, full length zippers, and is fully waterproof. The baffle constructions allows the Goose Down to stay in its proper place within the sleeping bag. These sleeping bags are truly designed for the extreme hiker or camper going into some cold regions.

The Marmot Outdoor sleeping bags are available in two ratings, 15 degrees or 30 degrees. The Outdoor sleeping bags feature 600 Goose Down insulation, trapezoidal foot beds, full length zippers, locking zippers and a heat bump draft tube. The locking zippers help keep the bag from opening up in the middle of night allowing the warmth of the sleeping bag to escape. These sleeping bags are reasonably priced, yet provide all the necessary requirements of a good sleeping bag.

The Marmot Synthetic sleeping bags are available in two styles, Standard or Ultralight. The sleeping bags are also available in the following ratings: 15 degrees, 20 degrees, 30 degrees, and 40 degrees. The Synthetic sleeping bags feature Eco Pro insulation, trapezoidal foot boxes, stash pockets, and is constructed with the Wave technology. The insulation in the sleeping bag is made of recycled products. The Wave construction allows for the sleeping bag to have the warmest shingle construction that is available. When the sleeping bag is constructed, extra insulation is forced into the bag creating an overlapping effect. The end result is a warm and dry experience.

Marmot offers several types of sleeping bags. The sleeping bags are designed for the weekend camper to the extreme hiker. No matter which type of camper you fall into, you can expect to get one of the best sleeping bags from Marmot.
